Spend Saturday at the Two Mississippi Museums.
The Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum share a building and an entrance but require separate attention. Allow at least half a day, expect emotionally demanding material, and leave room for reflection before the next stop.

Choose shade, art, or a family museum after the heaviest exhibits.
Fondren offers an easy gallery-and-dinner transition. Families staying a third night can move LeFleur's Bluff to its own day instead of asking children to absorb every museum at once.

Seasonal Mississippi French cooking inspired by Parisian cafés and New Orleans kitchens, with ingredients sourced from Southern farms and Gulf fisheries.
Sunday
Choose a family morning or the Capitol and Welty.
Families can pair the Mississippi Children's Museum with the Museum of Natural Science and LeFleur's Bluff playground. Adults drawn to architecture and literature can visit the State Capitol grounds and the Eudora Welty House & Garden, subject to current schedules.
